AIRLESS BLAST UNIT

WHEEL: Direct drive blast wheel revolves at 3450 RPM. Standard blast wheel is 12 in, 13.5 in & 15 in diameter and has seven curved blades. Components are balanced for smooth operation.

BLADES: Cast from abrasive resistant alloy for maximum life with a unique design for easy blade replacement.

CONTROL CAGE: Dial type cage  

WHEEL HOUSING: 1/4 in steel plate, completely lined with alloy steel liners. All liners are replaceable. 

MILL CONSTRUCTION 

CONVEYOR: Continuous molded rubber tumble belt is 4-ply construction with various diameter abrasive drain holes. Rubber tumbling ridges. Variable speed. *Optional drain hole size. 

CONVEYOR ROLLERS: Heavy duty rollers have 2-3/16 in solid shafts. All rollers are mounted to the cabinet with standard 4-bolt flange bearings. 

LINERS: 42 in diameter barrel-heads are 5/8 in abrasive resistant steel. Tight sealing abrasive resistant cabinet liners remove for belt access. 

*Optional cast liner package. 

CONVEYOR SPEED:  Variable speed.

CAPACITY: 41 in wide by 42 in diameter mill will handle 12 cubic feet or 1600 pounds. 

CABINET CONSTRUCTION 

CABINET: Fabricated from 0.5 in steel plate. Access holes in sides of cabinet simplify belt and liner replacement. Tramp metal collected on lower abrasive screen. 

DOOR: AR400 steel with air operated power lock

ABRASIVE RECYCLING SYSTEM 

ELEVATOR: Centrifugal discharge belt and bucket elevator is rigid and dust tight. All shaft bearings are exterior mounted for extended life. Screw adjusted shaft take-ups provide positive belt alignment.

ABRASIVE REQUIRED: 2000 pounds initial. 

ABRASIVE CONTROL: Fully adjustable air actuated butterfly valve provides precise flow control of abrasive. Totally enclosed design means maximum noise suppression.

ELECTRICS 

Type 12 electrical enclosed, thermal overload protection for all motors, standard 230/460 volt ammeter, oil tight push button controls. Timer controls the abrasive flow, blast wheel motor and door lock. Mill bypass for blast pattern test. 

ELECTRIC MOTORS   

All motors are totally enclosed and fan cooled to provide maximum life. Standard 460 volt 3-phase.

SAFETY FEATURES 

Blast wheel operational only when door is closed. Door is electrically locked closed during blast cycle. After blast wheel shutdown, adjustable time delay allows flow of abrasive to brake blast wheels to stop before door can be opened.
